About this process
Apollo 8 was the first crewed mission to enter the Moon's orbit in December 1968. Like the Apollo 8 team, you are on a mission, and your objective may be different from space travel, but your path to success is divided into milestones. Your new challenge or new project needs to be defined, and while you are using this tool, your goal is to start defining and illustrating all the milestones you will need to meet to accomplish your mission. We use this visualization to illustrate any project or challenge as a mission that requires planning and a thoughtful team discussion before the team moves forward with the project or the challenge. Think of a milestone as an action that, once complete it will represent a significant change, or passing a stage in development. About this tool: This tool will help you illustrate and discuss project milestones (or phases) that the team will need to meet to successfully accomplish their goal by using the "mission to the moon" to illustrate how success is always divided into different milestones (or phases).
