1. 💫 Start the discussion: Decide on Core and Optional Benefits

đź’« Define core benefits that apply to all employees.

Create a list of optional benefits employees can choose from, along with associated costs.

Set a budget or limit per employee for choosing optional benefits. For example, employees may pick one option, or select multiple options within a set budget.

👉Post-survey: Use the survey results or discussion points to guide conversations with your leadership team.Focus on benefits that are most important to employees, but also consider those that may not have received high votes but could serve specific groups (e.g., retirement plans for older employees).

2. Establish Policies and Rules

Determine if certain benefits require specific conditions. For example:

•Should employees be with the company for at least one year to qualify?
•Should employees demonstrate accountability and availability? If so, how will this be measured consistently across the organization?
3. đź’¬ Final decisions

I've prepared a benefits planning template in Nova, organized by key categories. It allows you to:

•Add or discuss potential benefits.
•Vote with the leadership team.
•Add notes on rules, costs, and whether benefits are core or optional.
•Define who will be leading this and how often this will be reviwed.
