2. Which of the following areas are currently dysfunctional?

Patrick Lenconi's book (The five dysfunctions of a team) identifies there five areas for why teams fail. We are adding a few more.

Which one do you think you need to improve to help teams function at their highest level? Choose 1 or 2πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Choose one or more
  • Absence of trust
  • Fear of conflict
  • Lack of commitment
  • Avoidance of accountability
  • Inattention to results
  • An absence of a sense of belonging
  • Lack of clarity
  • Not enough space and time to think or connect as a team
  • A team structure or process that is unfair

4. During discussions we are encourage to share our opinions and evaluate ideas from different point of views.

Our team members share their ideas freely, and the desire to deliver the best output is greater than the desire to preserve harmony. Healthy discussions can be held where opposite views can be expressed. We belive that if teams are not able to be authentic and share their opinions, inferior decisions will be made.

5. Team members can easily make decisions and commit to those decisions.

Our team can easily make decisions because there is no ambiguity or lack of direction. Does the team come to decisions quickly?

7. We hold each other accountable for our actions, tasks, behaviours and performance.

Our team commits to a clear action plan and doesn't leave tasks unassigned. Luck never plays a role in success. Our peers are called out when their actions are not productive or don't help the team move forward.

10. What’s the one thing we could do to make things better? What should we start doing?

How can we make meetings compelling and productive? How can we build a space where teams trust each other and where they openly share their opinion? How can we develop a culture where team members sacrifice their own interest to succeed as a team? How can we make decisions faster? How can we work better together?

This step is "open to all" so other people can see your answer. πŸ”₯β€οΈπŸ‘React and vote for those ideas that resonate with you.
