1. Pros & Cons
The team can start adding the pros and cons to all the different categories on the board.
2. Explore the "Pros and Cons" deeper
The team leader can add questions or more deeply explore the pros and cons by posing questions to the team or inviting them to think from a different perspective. You can continue adding more sticky notes to the board as you go. (E.g. We are going to continue going through the evaluation process by adding more sticky notes to the board, this time thinking from the customer perspective) Note: Explore the Pros and Cons that are not rational statements, why someone has the “feeling” or the “experience” that is making them believe one thing or the other. Do not underestimate your team’s emotional intelligence.
3. Comment or suggestion from the team lead
Team lead or product lead will share comments with the team. In this step, the team leader is creating decisions or conclusions, based on the data from the board. (e.g. I believe we should hire a graphic designer because our team needs the support, and we will be able to finalize feature X so more clients will be willing to pay for the tool.)
4. Recommendations
Add your thoughts/recommendations below. (e.g. I believe we should hire a graphic designer because our team needs the support, and we will be able to finalize the feature X so more clients will be willing to pay for the tool.)
5. Understanding why
This step can be used to understand why a group of people decided to move forward with one option; the team leader will add comments or include the final decision here to share with the team. In this step, the team needs to defend their vote and fight against the rest of the team to make sure the organization makes the best decision.
