About this process

Build an effective team. Through this tool, you can have a better understanding of your team's skills, needs, and background. Many teams don’t truly work together, but only work in the context of their own assignments. The goal here is to define and provide the resources they need, use their skills properly, and provide internal support so everyone in the team understands who can help them and when. You will be building a list of everyone's skills, availability, and major interests. Note: This tool is ideal for teams that don't know each other - to align the team.

    Read everyone's conclusions and notes and synthesize your findings. Add final notes to the board.

1. Who will be involved?

First, assess how many team members you’ll need. Use the board to create a list of your staff availability and when the exercise should start and end. Add everyone's name to the board. Decide how you will be using this board. Will the board be used during a meeting? Or would they be doing this asynchronously?

Start with the "about myself" section. A great way to introduce yourself is by saying: -"My name is .... and I am the go-to person for..." - so everyone in your team knows when they should reach out or contact you. Follow each section. Skills: What are your top 3 skills? What skills are you interested in improving?

4. What are your conclusions?

Who should be doing what? Are you missing any skills? Does everyone have enough time and motivation to work? What problems do you foresee? Why? You can add your conclusions here.

Write a note
5. Read everyone's conclusions and notes and synthesize your findings. Add final notes to the board.
