About this process
Positive: Encourage your employee or the person you are coaching to share what’s going well for them at work. Improvement: Ask your employee or the person you are coaching if they have seen any improvements lately or if there are any opportunities for improvement. Challenges: Inquire about new challenges or roadblocks that they are facing right now, if any. Looking Forward: Discuss where the employee sees themselves in the next year and where they think they thrive and could need more space and opportunities to put things into practice. Support: Identify ways to best support your team members. Ask questions like: How could I better support you? What should I do less of? What would you like to practice more often?
