1. Annual Habits: Activities that happen every year ๐Ÿฆธ

Recurring yearly activities and habits form the foundation of any company and team. Without them, both the company and team can struggle. Establishing and maintaining good habitsโ€”whether yearly, quarterly, or monthlyโ€”is essential for defining the path to a team's success. Ensure your list of recurring activities aligns with your values, and review and improve it annually to drive continuous growth and alignment.

2. ๐ŸŽฏ Indicate this year's key objectives.

10 to 15 key objectives a year max. ๐ŸŽฏObjectives should be clear, memorable, and inspiring to motivate everyone in the company to aim higher. They should include both an aspirational and realistic component, such as:

โ€ขAspirational Goal: Represents the ideal outcome to strive for. ๐Ÿช„ ๐Ÿช„ ๐Ÿช„
โ€ขRealistic Goal: Represents the achievable result based on current resources and circumstances.

๐Ÿช„ Anything below the realistic goal will be considered as the goal not being achieved. This dual approach encourages ambition while maintaining practicality.

3. Notes.

Things change, new opportunities may arise during the year, shifting priorities, and decisions are made to better support the team and the organization. Add comments here when decisions are made or delays occur that affect the original plan.

1. "Ingredients" of culture

The "ingredients" of culture refer to the elements that shape and define the collective behaviors, values, beliefs, and norms of a group, organization, or society.

Start by discussing and defining yours.

1. Values and Beliefs โค๏ธ

โ€ขValues: Core principles that guide behavior, such as honesty, innovation, or respect.
โ€ขBeliefs: Shared understandings or assumptions about the world, often rooted in history, religion, or tradition.

2. Norms and Behaviors๐Ÿ‘‡

โ€ขNorms: Unwritten rules about acceptable behavior, like how people dress or interact.
โ€ขBehaviors: Daily actions and rituals that reflect cultural norms.
โ€ขRules and Policies: Explicit guidelines and structures that govern behavior, such as company handbooks or societal laws.

3. Symbols and Language ๐Ÿ—จ๐Ÿ’ฅ

โ€ขSymbols: Icons, logos, or imagery that hold significant meaning (e.g., flags, logos, art).
โ€ขLanguage: Specific terms, jargon, or slang unique to the group.

4. Rituals and Traditions ๐Ÿฎ

Regular practices, ceremonies, or events that reinforce shared identity, such as annual celebrations, onboarding rituals, or even recurring meetings and habits.

5. Stories and Narratives

Historical events, myths, or shared experiences that convey the identity and values of the group.

6. Leadership and Role Models

The behavior of leaders or influential figures that sets the tone and expectations for the group.

7. Shared Goals and Vision ๐Ÿฅ‡

A unifying purpose or mission that aligns individuals within the culture.

Other considarations:

โ€ขArtifacts and Material Culture: Physical objects, tools, or technology that represent the culture (e.g., office layout, dress codes, digital tools).
โ€ขEnvironment and Context: The physical and social environment, including geography, economic conditions, and historical context.
2. Further discussion

Leaders often ask a range of strategic and tactical questions about creating or improving company culture.

Here are a few things you should try to answer:

Where do we stand now?

โ€ขWhat is our current company culture like?
โ€ขHow do employees perceive it?
โ€ขAre there gaps between our stated values and actual behaviors?

The goal:

A clear and honest assessment of the current culture, often through employee feedback, surveys, or external audits.

๐Ÿ‘€ Here are our key priorities for this month. These are the tasks we must focus on first and dedicate all our efforts to achieving.
