About this process

Your social content is organized so that the same type of content goes out on the same day of the week. So everything here will relate to one theme — and it can even follow a structure or formula that repeats every single week

The process in detail

1. 👀❤️🔥 Socials

This calendar is organized so that the same type of content goes out on the same day of the week. So if this board is for Monday of this week, for example, make sure you name the session with the specific day it belongs to.

Then think about the topic of the content:

Maybe every Monday you share something about your team, or about the product, or a “do & don’t” video.

Select the content type and the format, then update the template so the format and content type become reusable. Improve it as you learn what works with your audience.

2. Content for Week 1

Define the idea, write the script, and get it approved or finalized by everyone involved in the process. Add tasks and drop links or images to make it easier for the team.

Use the “first draft” sticker to show that it’s still in progress, and “completed” when it’s approved — or write other statuses like “scheduled” if the post has already been programmed.

Review: If a post performs really well, reflect on why and consider what you could repeat next month.

3. Content for Week 2

4. Content for Week 3

5. Content for Week 4

6. Content for Week 5

1. General Observations & Notes
•Engagement Rate: likes, comments, shares ÷ reach
•Reach/Impressions: how many people saw it
•Saves (IG) / Watch Time (TikTok): REAL interest
•Click-through rate: links clicked
•Follower growth: net new, spikes, patterns
•Video retention: where people drop off
•Share ratio: shares ÷ views (high = viral potential)

Other questions:

•Which posts sparked the most conversation? Why?
•Which hook formats worked best?
•What formats performed best (video, reel, carousel, static)?
•Did we attract the right audience?
•Did the content lead to DMs, comments, inquiries or signups?
Write a note
2. 👨‍🎓 What have we learned?

❤️🥳 What went well? What has worked? What should we continue doing because it is currently working well? What practices are contributing to progress, keeping the team motivated, and moving in the right direction?

👎 😢 What didn't go well? What hasn’t worked? 💫 Identify areas for improvement: What didn’t work, and what changes or improvements are needed? Are there any practices that should be discontinued?

Decide & create a list of tasks.

•What formats we will use more
•What topics we will double down on
•What topics we will remove
•What habits we will keep
•What templates we need
•What experiments we will test (new series, formats, hooks, themes)

1. 🚀 Attract & Engage (Top-Funnel)

Brainstorm content ideas designed to capture attention, entertain, and build initial awareness. This content should be easy to consume, shareable, and reflect current trends or offer a glimpse into your unique perspective. The goal here is to grow your audience and make a memorable first impression.

Focus on content that is:

•Fun & Engaging: Evokes emotion, sparks curiosity, or provides light entertainment.
•Relatable: Shows a "day in the life," behind-the-scenes, or common experiences.
•Trend-Driven: Leverages popular sounds, challenges, or formats relevant to your niche.

Think "discoverable" and "shareable." What makes people stop scrolling?

List your top ideas for engaging, top-of-funnel content, one idea per entry.

Add notes
2. 🧠 Educate & Build Trust (Mid-Funnel)

Now, shift focus to content that establishes your authority and demonstrates your expertise. This stage is about providing value, educating your audience, and building a deeper level of trust. You're moving beyond entertainment to demonstrating what you know and how you can help.

Consider these content types:

•Frameworks & Breakdowns: Simplify complex topics into easy-to-understand steps.
•Actionable Tips: Provide immediate, practical advice your audience can implement.
•"How-To" Guides: Tutorials or demonstrations of skills, tools, or processes.
•Insights & Analysis: Share your unique perspective on industry trends or challenges.

This content should position you as a go-to resource.

Add your best ideas for authority-building content, focusing on education and trust.

Add notes
3. 🎯 Convert & Drive Action (Bottom-Funnel)

At this stage, your content should clearly guide your audience towards a specific action, ultimately leading to sales or desired conversions. They trust you; now show them the direct path to solving their problem through your offerings.

Ensure your content includes:

•Clear Calls to Action (CTAs): What do you want them to do next (visit website, sign up, buy now)?
•Solution-Oriented Messaging: Directly connect your product/service to their needs identified in earlier stages.
•Social Proof: Testimonials, case studies, or user-generated content showcasing results.
•Urgency/Scarcity (where appropriate): Limited-time offers, upcoming deadlines.
•Product/Service Demos: Show how your solution works and its benefits.

This is where you bridge the gap between valuable content and direct engagement with your business.

List content ideas that will drive specific conversions (e.g., website visits, lead generation, sales).

Add notes
4. ✅ Generate Your Content Brief

You’ve defined your audience, brainstormed ideas across the funnel, selected formats, and sketched your plan.

Download the data from this session as a CSV file. Then, use an AI tool (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) with the following prompt to generate a detailed content brief or even draft initial content ideas for your upcoming month.💫

Copy and paste this prompt, then add your CSV data:

"Act as a social media content strategist specializing in community building and sales funnels. I have planned my monthly social media content. Here is the data from my planning session: [PASTE CSV DATA HERE].

Based on this information, generate a comprehensive content brief for the upcoming month. The brief should include:

1.Overall Monthly Theme/Goal: Summarize the primary focus.
2.Audience & Community Profile: Reiterate key characteristics.
3.Top-Funnel Content Plan:
◦3-5 specific content ideas (including hook, main point, chosen format).
◦Recommended call to action (e.g., "follow for more," "share with a friend").
◦Target metrics.
•Mid-Funnel Content Plan:
◦2-3 specific content ideas (including problem statement, solution, chosen format).
◦Recommended call to action (e.g., "save for later," "comment your thoughts," "link in bio for full guide").
◦Target metrics.
•Bottom-Funnel Content Plan:
◦1-2 specific content ideas (including offer, urgency/scarcity, chosen format).
◦Clear call to action (e.g., "shop now," "sign up," "book a demo").
◦Target metrics.
•Key Hashtags & Keywords: Suggest relevant options for each funnel stage.
•Engagement Strategies: Ideas for fostering community interaction.

Ensure the brief is actionable and aligns with the goal of building a community and driving sales."

Now, download your session data and create your monthly content brief!

5. 🗓️ Sketch Your Monthly Content Calendar

Bring your ideas together into a high-level bi-weekly plan. The goal is to ensure a balanced mix of top-, mid-, and bottom-funnel content, consistently providing value and driving your audience through the journey.

A good rule of thumb might be:

•60% Top-Funnel: For audience growth and engagement.
•30% Mid-Funnel: For building authority and nurturing trust.
•10% Bottom-Funnel: For direct calls to action and conversions.

Think about weekly themes or key messages. Then schedule the contents using your favourite platform.
